We went out to UMASS Boston to have an up-close look at Final Cut Studio and the new tapeless Panasonic AG-HVX200 camera. The remarkable flexibility and speed that P2 solid-state delivers in post-production is impressive.

Basically the class covered the post-production pipeline with Final Cut Pro 5, discussed the Features of the new Panasonic AG-HVX200 camera including its P2 solid-state tapeless video storage and gave some pointers on Filming in high-quality 4:2:2 HD. The demos were on Power Mac G5 Quad computers with Apple Cinema Displays.

At the end of the class, we received a free HD Sampler DVD filmed entirely with the HVX200 camera and edited with Final Cut Pro 5.
